Railroad Commissioners Rule Unanimously in Favor of Permit
SAN ANTONIO, TX–(Marketwired – May 03, 2016)
San Antonio-based Petro Waste Environmental LP (PWE) today announced the Railroad Commissioners have voted unanimously to approve its permit for a non-hazardous oil and gas waste landfill in DeWitt County, Texas. The 143 acre facility is being constructed on the south side of highway 72 outside of the community of Nordheim in South Texas to service the horizontal drilling activity in the Eagle Ford Shale. The DeWitt County Landfill will accept oil based mud, water based mud, oil based drill cuttings, water based drill cuttings, contaminated soil and RCRA exempt non-hazardous E&P waste in addition to providing washouts and other ancillary services. The facility was permitted under the name of predecessor entity, Pyote Reclamation Systems, LLC, but will be constructed and operated by Petro Waste Environmental LP. Construction commencement is planned for early 2017 with an anticipated opening date of fourth quarter 2017.
