Prior to joining Tailwater Capital in February 2025, Mr. Wilson was an Assistant Controller at Lantern Asset Management, a private equity firm in Dallas that specializes in restructuring.

At Lantern he managed all of the accounting functions for one of their portfolio companies, Bluejack National, where he helped implement processes and procedures for a residential construction company and real estate development company, while also providing accounting support for the private club. Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Wilson was a Funds Management Associate at Sandpoint Capital Advisors, a boutique professional services firm providing fund accounting and consulting services for investment managers. He also served as a Staff Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP from 2016 to 2018.

Mr. Wilson is a Certified Public Accountant and received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Baylor University.
